Aywann – Rokenrol EP (Coming Soon)!

Read while you listen :0

Aywann is finally here, serving up to you what can be described as dark house music with mashed up vocals on all four tracks.

With DJ Ramo on the remix tip again delivering a different but great twist to the EP.

It’s taken a while to put this together, and we hope you enjoy every second of it.

The vocals of Digitron are particulary fun…

Styles range from House, Deep House to Tech-House for the last two tracks on the EP.

Enjoy this unique release!

Alessandro Osini – Swedish Harmony EP

Listen above while you read below :)

Fresh from the underground of Italy comes a new talent in Alessandro Osini…

With an excellent underground house and techno four track EP for your ears.

Kicking off with ‘Only you in the Universe he begins his story in a deep and beautiful soundscape, lush sounds with a rippling effect driven by a stabby synth low end, yum yum.

Right after we are taken deeper into the mind of this producer, being seduced into ‘My fans by Night!’ with this Deep House track, excellent synth work and simplicity in the rhythm are key here, plays effortlessly with nice timing, brings us to a more…

Detroit style track, more on the techno tip, but not too hard just right we feel, yes indeed ‘Stockholm by Night’ is a real pleasure to the ears on the dancefloor, jackin synth riffs and rolling solid beats & bass, elevate you to a new high on the EP…

Once done with that you are brought back to mother earth with a Tech House track in ‘Way Out North’.

For that one we will let you check that out and judge for your yourselves.

Wicked…

Thanks for your support!

RICHIE HAWTIN LAUNCHES CNTRL:R

Richie Hawtin launches CNTRL:R

RICHIE HAWTIN LAUNCHES CNTRL:R

Richie Hawtin’s been at it again.  This time, the boundary pushing m_nus boss has put his mind to designing and launching a brand new midi controller that’s portable, user friendly and of course has enough knobs and whistles to keep even the most techy of geeks happy.  Known as an early adopter of new technology, Hawtin was one of the first producers to use software like Ableton Live in his sets over ten years ago and knows a thing or two about manipulating technology and software to push his perfomances forward, as anyone who’s been to see his latest Plastikman show will confirm.  The CNTRL:R was designed by Richie, his team at m_nus and technicians at Livid Instruments and according to the blurb it is “..ideal for live performance and studio production. Create rhythms, sequence and perform drums, launch clips, mix tracks, and have complete control over your performance..”.  Where do we sign?

Love my micromodular by Nord!

Clavia Nord Micro Modular

Nord Midco Modular Image
The Nord Micro Modular is a somewhat stripped down version of the massive Nord Modular system. Like the Nord Modular, a PC computer is used to virtually patch, tweak, edit and design your synth patches in a modular fashion. However the stand-alone keyboard interface has been replaced here by the very small four-knobbed Micro Modular interface. The software is the exactly the same as the original however the controller itself which houses DSP power is considerably less than that of the original – reducing this units polyphony from 32 to 4 voices or less and multitimbrality has been stripped away. Software version 2.1 adds many new features including a Ring Modulator, 14-Band FilterBank, Vocal Filter, FM Sine wave, Digitizer (bare-bones sampling) and many more tricks. After you’ve created a patch using the software you can load it into one of 99 memories within the controller. It can then be used live or in a MIDI studio as a synth module. The simplified controller has a volume knob and 3 other knobs that can be assigned editable parameters. Limited as this might appear, you still get one of the biggest and most powerful modular synthesizer emulator programs in the world. The Micro Modular System is a fraction the cost of the Nord Modular and would be a powerful complement to any serious musicians arsenal. Be sure to get the latest OS version which is v3.03. It’s been used byAutechre, u-ziQ, Speedy J, Kid606, Somatic Responses, Heretik, Ixy & DJ Ramo!

Aneesh Gera – Forgiveness EP – Out now supported well by DJ’s grab a copy!

Back and fresh for 2012 is the Forgiveness EP.

This one has a great spread of styles, to bring a new dimension to the top selling original version for 66Khz.

Aneesh, and the gang have put together a really beautiful EP… It’s already getting some great reactions from:

Maceo Plex AKA maetrik (Ellum)
Siavash Ashrafinia
Paco Osuna
Javier Orduna
Zweiklang
DJ 3000
Robin Ball
Xaric

Let’s get stuck in then…

The Original created by Aneesh Gera, if you have not heard it before is an all out house track great for the big room sessions, with really uplifting riffs and sleepless beats.

The DJ Ramo Mix is a clean cut offering a deep and progressive sound, excellent bass and synth stabs combine with the original vocal for some jackin’ passages, and a few surprises on the drops. His previous remix was for DJ Hal alongside Michael Morph in December, and he is looking set to please again with his contribution again…

Next up is an emerging talent from Serbia, and wow, what a track wonderful deep house from a really talented young man, absolute pleasure from start to finish, not to be missed nor forgotten, check it…

And finally the Chill Out version sees Aneesh Gera the original artist get chilled out completely with the man Ashly Fernandes gracing us with a completely different take perfect for the bars and lounges in Ibiza, super cool tune, pure magic.

Well that’s it for this release, be sure to keep an eye out for 66Khz Productions, this being only 4 of over 100 tracks already scheduled for release in 2012…

Love your support…

Sean Williams – The Anti-Economy EP

Sean Williams

Building on his previous successes this EP is creating a storm in the clubs…

But first a bit about Sean…

Born in Vancouver, Sean moved to Torquay in England at the age of 4. He started playing the drums at the age of 7 and began composing music at the age of 13. Sean listened to a wide variety of music from a very young age including disco, soul, rock and metal thanks to his folk’s diverse vinyl collection and consequently, throughout his life had an extremely eclectic taste. Sean performed and wrote in an array of bands from the age of 14 including styles such as soul, funk and rock throughout which period he taught himself to play the guitar, bass guitar and keys.

Sean moved to Bristol in 05 to study music tech at university where he gained heaps of studio experience. He spent a lot of his time in the studio writing, recording and producing numerous different styles of music. His time spent in Bristol cause his love for house music to grow thanks to the intense nightlife and the banging house and techno parties being thrown. After graduating Sean spent the summer working in Ibiza where he discovered his love for mixing. Every Monday night was spent at Cocoon and from that point he knew he didn’t want to do anything but focus his life on house music.

On return to England Sean invested much of his spare time producing house music and honing his mixing skills. At the age of 24 Sean has been DJ-ing in Bristol for over a year. His love for deep, tech, progressive, tribal, minimal house and techno can be heard through his productions and his DJ sets. He makes it impossible for you to leave the dance floor with his carefully constructed sets that will take you on a journey you won’t want to leave. The fact that he has been a percussionist most of his life shines through in his productions.

Sean has been influenced by many DJ’s and producers – Sven Väth, Dubfire, Sebastien Leger, Len Faki, Edu Imbernon, Coyu, Sasha, Joris Voorn, Loko, Martin Buttrich, Andreas Henneberg, Kaiserdisco, Lucio Aquilina, Wally Lopez, Steve Lawler, Timo Maas, Mark Broom, Ritchie Hawtin and Kollektiv Turmstrasse to name but a few…

Replicalex New Artist!! And his Infamous EP out NOW!!

Alex aka Replicalex started making electronic music back in the early 90s with an Atari ST and Cubase.

Over many years he developed a love of analogue synths, drum machines and all kinds of electronic music from disco to electro and dub to techno – all of which have an influence on his music.

His output now is mostly techno with an old school flavour and full of analogue goodness.

You can buy the entire release here!
